Grade 5 Picnic. On the 24th of February, 2017 our grade 5 students were taken to Afrin Cottage (Spring Valley Resort) in Gazipur on a wonderful picnic. A total number of 33 students accompanied by 7 teachers left the school premises at 8 45 a.m. on the crisp Saturday morning. Students enjoyed a refreshing breakfast, spent their time relaxing by the swimming pool, and they also took part in sporting activities and played fun games. Also, a scrumptious lunch was served in the afternoon which everyone relished. This picnic gave the students and teachers a wonderful opportunity to bond outside the classroom, and we hope our students will always remember the good times they spent in their last year in the junior section before moving on to becoming seniors.

Last week the kids of Nursery Yellow had the opportunity to see live animal in their classroom. This added value to their learning process. They were also introduced with the basic traffic rules. To make it fun they have some fun games with the traffic lights which they made in the class. The kids have also paid homage to the language martyrs by placing wreath in the sohid minar at school. Furthermore they have started to practice number spelling in difference ways.

Handwriting Competition Of KG Students..!!
Practicing handwriting is an incredibly important exercise for children, enabling them to develop fine motor skills, confidence and most importantly their very own style. On February 19, we arranged a handwriting competition for KG students to entice children to practice their handwriting. ‘

21 February – International Mother Language Day observed at ITHS.
ITHS Uttara Preschool and Junior Section students observed this day and paid tribute to the language martyrs on the morning of 21 February, during their daily assembly session. Shahid Minar monument copies, made by the students, were put on display along with banners and paintings, while some of the selected students performed song. Students came to school in black and white attire, the colour code for Ekushey February, carrying bouquets and flowers with them which they placed on the altar of the Shahid Minar one by one. It was indeed a sight worth watching when the students marched towards the Shahid Minar monuments with the flowers and “Amar bhaiyer roktey rangano ekushey February…” in the backdrop.
