Inter-Class Chess Tournament.
Chess – a mind sport that calls for patience and abstract strategy. Our little minds have demonstrated great potential in this sport as they masterfully participated in the Inter-Class Chess competition held by the ITHS Uttara Junior Section. The tournament was divided into 4 groups, i.e. Grade 1-2 Boys and Girls, and Grade 3 – 5 Boys and Girls. Three students from each category were awarded certificates for securing first, second, and third position.
7th International Karate Championship (India).
ITHS Karate Club had a unique opportunity to participate in the 7th International Karate Championship that was held in New Delhi, India between the 27th and 29th of December, 2016. A total of 13 participants represented Bangladesh in the international tournament, out of which four were from the ITHS senior Boys and Girls Section, and two from the Junior Section. Our students had a wonderful time presenting their karate skills on an international platform and competing against the other participating nations. The excitement was in fact doubled as our young karate prodigies from the Junior Section, Tayeba Azim Mollah (4Y) and Aryan Faiyaz Ahmed (3G) bagged one silver and two bronze medals.
