PG & NURSERY Fruits & Vegetables Show.

“Health is Wealth” with this awareness, ITHS Uttara Preschool Section has arranges a Fruits and Vegetable show for Playgroup and Nursery children. Kid’s enthusiastic participation and parent’s presence made our show very successful.



KG Project Fair.

ITHS Uttara Preschool Section arranged a project fair for KG students at the school premise on the 26th April, 2017. This event was organized by KG Section of ITHS where students were able to showcase their various and regular classroom activities by packaging those into projects. The fair presented projects on English and Bangla Language skills, Mathematical techniques, Scientific skills, Social skills, and Awareness on personal hygiene. The teachers were responsible for integrating young children into the world of learning by teaching them various methods which helped them to think differently and create new things.

The fair was held on a regular school day at Uttara Preschool and Junior Section Auditorium from 10.00 am to 12:20 pm. The Fair started with projects with bright and vibrant colors, and then it displayed some mentally stimulating objects created by the students with the help of their teachers. The participating students wore colorful headband signifying the fair. A good number of visitors attended the Fair, which included parents, teachers and other students of ITHS, and this had encouraged the participating students and made the event a success. The excitement of the KG students at the Fair was worth noticing, and this represented their enthusiasm and interest in presenting and describing their creations/activities to others. They successfully elaborated their ideas to visiting crowd and responded to queries on their respective projects very well. Overall, the environment was very pleasant, illuminating and friendly for both participants and visitors.

SPELLING BEE 2017. Spelling Bee 2017 Spelling Bee, one of the most awaited events of the year, was held on the 25th of April, 2017. Every year, ITHS organizes this event to provide its students with valuable educational experience and also, promote healthy competition to boost their confidence. The participants from Class 1 and 2 for the final round were selected through a preliminary round were they had to sit for a written test. The preparation for the competition required the students to expand their vocabulary, learn their meanings, their every usage, and pronunciation. We believe that the learning process associated with Spelling Bee will enhance our students’ memory and allow them to utilize this skill in the improvement of their studies.

Everyday on our way to school we see different transportation.This is time to teach our children various kind of vehicles they sees on road,water or air.They made boat & plane crafts and played with them in the playground.Children did lots of activity related to transportation.

WORLD BOOK DAY CELEBRATION


ITHS Uttara Preschool & Junior Section celebrated “The World Book Day” for the very first time in a very grand manner this year. This day is observed worldwide with much zeal to encourage reading! Moreover, today is the birth anniversary of the most renowned English poet, playwright, and actor – William Shakespeare, who is also widely known as the father of English Literature.

The celebration was carried on throughout the month of April. Students were encouraged to read books to promote the habit of reading. Students read books along with their parents, teachers and senior peers. During the first week of the month, parents were invited in the library to share their favorite stories with the children. On the second week of the month, teachers shared their favorite stories with the students. The senior students also had the opportunity to share their favorite books with their junior peers in the following week.

The month-long celebration ended on April 23, 2017 with a vibrant program where students dressed up as their favorite characters from various story books.  Students gathered in the auditorium in the first school hour with much enthusiasm and excitement to rejoice the day. Students were chosen at random to come to the stage and present the characters they were dressed up as. After the students’ presentation a brief biography of Shakespeare was given. The program concluded with the exhibition of banners made by the students of their beloved books. Not only students, teachers also appeared in various fictitious and historical characters such as Cleopatra, Nurjahan, Portia, Elsa, Professor Snape, Marie Curie, Matilda, Sherlock Holmes and so on. As a whole it was a very colorful and rewarding event for all.    



INTERNATIONAL TURKISH HOPE SCHOOL The Profession Day ITHS Uttara Junior Section arranged “The Profession Day” on 12th April 2017. Three of our honorable parents working as different professionals were invited to the seminar. Among those parents one of them was Dr. Abdul Khaleque, Professor and Director (Admission) of North South University. He is also a scientist who works on microorganism like virus, bacteria etc. He shared his valuable knowledge with the students about Health and environment, microorganisms and environmental issues. He inspired our students to work hard and motivated students to explore new things. He also mentioned some health issues which are related to basic principles of our life like: heating healthy foods, early rising, sleeping 8-11 hours a day and so on. Our next honorable parent was Iftekhar Ahmed Ronnie, lawyer who is currently working as a consultant in Burger Group of Industries. He talked about his career, why and how he chose this noble profession. He mentioned his success which he could make at his young age and he also inspired our students about choosing this profession. He motivated the students who love to take challenges for choosing this profession because he thinks it is a very challenging and respectful profession. He expressed how much he loves his profession. Our last honorable guest was M. Murshed Haider, a successful Entrepreneur who started his journey as a banker and later on he left the job and started building his own dream: being an Entrepreneur. He shared three interesting stories which he related with his own life, he also shared about the ups and downs he faced during his journey as an entrepreneur. He inspired the students never to give up whatever the situation comes. After all the guests delivered their valuable speeches we had interactive session between the students and our honorable guests. The students picked their favorite professionals to ask their own queries and students were very happy to get their desired answers which made their choice clear. At last the Head of section thanked our guests for giving their valuable time with such a wonderful effort and honoured them by handing over the Crests to them.



OPEN CLASS, 4 YELLOW




ITHS 2nd MATH OLYMPIAD.


International Turkish Hope School organized second Math Olympiad on the 22nd of April, 2017 at the Main Campus auditorium. The competition was organized by the math department of ITHS, and approximately 500 students from grade 3, 4, and 5 from all four campuses, i.e. Uttara, Gulshan, Bogra, and Chittagong partook in the event. 

The Math Olympiad was divided into three rounds. In the 1st round, which was our selection stage, 20 students from each grade and campus were chosen for the next round. Around 200 students in total were selected, who then competed in the 2nd round in order to move onto the 3rd and final round. Each group in the final round consisted of one student from grade 3, one student from grade 4 and two students from grade 5. Finally, four teams of extremely bright minds from four branches of ITHS competed in an intense and exhilarating final round. 
All the excitement that was built up during the competition came to a celebratory end when the names of the winners were announced. Gushan Branch ended up securing the championship in the Final Round whereas Uttara Branch was in the 2nd position. And Chittagong and Bogra held 3rd and 4the position respectively.

Class 2 Green did a collage group work from the topic “Walking on the Moon” on pets, famous books, inventors with their invention and fragrant flowers.





Students of Class 2 Green solved a picture puzzle on an elephant and recited the poem “the elephant” by wearing long ear and trunk.




Young learners of Class 2 Green tried all the new skills like making chair, table other things that Robinson Crusoe learned to survive on an island.




A student of Class 2 Blue made a raft and a hammock as a project on Robinson Crusoe.


Students of Class 2 Blue prepared a project on the topic “Walking on the Moon”.

Class 2 Green learned “Preposition of Places” through picture description in English language II class.



ITHS Junior Section has commenced the month long celebration of World Book Day. In the second week the guest teachers of different classes read their favorite book to the students. They have showed the efforts to tell the story with colorful presentation. They have also shared their memories of reading books in their childhood. Teachers have given advice to the students how they can improve their reading habits. ITHS Junior Section appreciates the cooperation and efforts of the Teachers and encourages the teachers to carry out the program in their individual classroom.
