ITHS Inter-School Independence Day Cup U-12 Football Tournament 2017

International Turkish Hope School, Uttara Pre-School and Junior Section organized the Inter-School Independence Day Cup U-12 Football Tournament 2017. Final rounds took place on 7th and 8th of April 2017. A total of 12 teams representing the most well-known English Medium schools in Dhaka participated in this tournament. Among them were the ITHS Green, ITHS Red, ITHS – Gulshan, Don Bosco, Sunbeams, South Breeze, Scholastica, Mastermind, BISC, DPS, Aga Khan, and Green Herald. The event was sponsored by Road Link Sourcing Co. Ltd. 

The participating teams showed some excellent team work and passion throughout all their matches. The teams that stood out from the others with their extraordinary footwork and secured their position in the next level of the tournament, moved onto the Plate and Cup Quarter Finals. 

Eight of the strongest teams in the tournament delighted the audience with their performance in the Semi-Finals, but only Don Bosco and DPS went head to head for the Plate Final, and BISC and ITHS Gulshan battled it out in the Cup Finals. The tournament came to an electrifying end when Don Bosco and BISC scored their victory goals to win the Plate and Cup final, respectively. 

The last and final day of the tournament was adorned with the presence of our Honorable Guest Mr. Bedrettin Suata, Chairman of ITHS, Chief Guest Mr. Ahmed Sharif, Former President of Bangladesh Movie Actors Association, and Special Guest Mr. Isa Guler, Head of Section of ITHS Uttara Pre-School and Junior section. The guests presented our budding champions with medals and trophies. Moreover, the best goal keeper, top scorer, best defender, and the best player of the tournament were rewarded for their terrific performance throughout the event. The winners of these awards are:

Best Goal Keeper: Hamim (ITHS)

Top Scorer: Omar (Don Bosco)

Best Defender: Walid (ITHS)

Best Player: Advee (BISC)
